It's my birthday!

Twenty-two years. Golly! I know it may sound stupid, but 22 always seemed so old to me. Growing up I was under the impression that life ended at 21 and then re-started once you turned thirty. I don't think I have ever been more excited for a birthday, than this year. Not because of an parties or plans, but because of the season God has placed me in.

When I was younger I wanted to be just like my mom (If I had had it my way, I probably would have made it happen); I wanted to be married by twenty, and have my first child by twenty-two. A couple of years ago I fell in love with a quote by the brilliant Jason Isaac's,

"Every time I make a plan, God laughs a me."

While I would love to be married and have a family, God is obviously working on a different time table. :) However, I would not change where I am at. My relationship with God is better than it been in years, I will be done with my college degree in a year, I have amazing roommates, I really have enjoyed being single for twenty two years :), I am blessed with a wonderful family, and I feel like the best is yet to come.
